Daniel Jesse recently joined the Extra Features Podcast for an in-depth conversation about his documentary The Salt Lake Strip — a film that pulls back the curtain on one of Utah's most storied and overlooked entertainment corridors.

In the interview, Daniel discusses the creative process behind the documentary, the challenges of independent filmmaking, and the personal connection he has to the subject matter. He also touches on his broader career as a musician, actor, and producer, and what it means to tell authentic stories from the American West.

The Extra Features Podcast is dedicated to conversations with filmmakers, actors, and creatives working at every level of the industry. This episode is a must-listen for fans of Daniel's work and anyone interested in the craft of documentary filmmaking.

Daniel Jesse has been awarded an RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America) Gold Record Plaque in recognition of the extraordinary commercial success of his single "Bottom of the Bottle." The Gold certification marks a milestone of over 500,000 units sold in the United States, a testament to the song's powerful resonance with audiences across the country.

"Bottom of the Bottle" — a deeply personal track drawn from Daniel's own story of addiction and recovery — has connected with listeners in a way few independent releases do. The song's raw honesty and cinematic production have earned it a dedicated following far beyond the Utah music scene where Daniel built his career.

The RIAA Gold Record Plaque will be displayed as a permanent reminder of what independent artists can achieve when they refuse to compromise their vision.
